— Psalm 24:1
Title: Metal Spiral Inscriptions III: Spatial Document
Year: 2015
Material: Brass, wood
Dimensions: 400 × 400 × 550 mm
A rotating globe constructed from a skeletal framework of longitudinal and latitudinal rings, within which a continuous system of bidirectional helical inscriptions is suspended in tension around a central gold sphere.
The work extends writing from architectural and cultural space to a planetary scale, proposing the globe itself as a field of visual inscription. Writing becomes spatial, kinetic, and perceptual rather than linguistic.
As the structure rotates, shifting reflections continuously reconfigure the relationships between its suspended elements, preventing any fixed reading. The work unfolds as a continuously changing field of perception in which writing is experienced through movement, light, and spatial transformation.
